About Us
When Jeff and Nancy got married back in 1999, they never imagined that they would someday become beekeepers. Growing up in Half Moon Bay, Nancy worked in agriculture, while Jeff, her husband, who grew up in San Mateo, worked as a commercial fisherman out of Princeton Harbor.
In 2020 Nancy decided she wanted to have a beehive to help pollinate her extensive garden. Jeff, wasn’t quite sure but agreed to one hive. Four years later Nancy and Jeff founded HMBeez, having too many beehives to just supply family and friends. Now that Nancy is retired and Jeff has totally embraced bee keeping, they can’t wait to share their bounty with all of you.
Their honey is harvested from hives located in Half Moon Bay and just south of there, at Elkus Ranch. It is pure, raw and lightly filtered. The HMBeez logo was designed and drawn by Nancy’s nephew Emmett, when he was 10 years old. Jeff and Nancy have embraced this drawing because it really captures the simple idea of fresh honey being shared among family and friends.
